THE PROMISE

The right treatment always starts with the right assessment.

What is Endolift®?

The treatment uses an extremely fine optical fibre introduced beneath the skin to deliver controlled laser energy to the subcutaneous tissues.

This allows us to target several aspects of tissue ageing at the same time, including: skin tightening, collagen stimulation, tissue remodelling, improvement of skin firmness, facial contouring, jawline definition, selected localised fat deposits.

Endolift can be particularly attractive for patients who want a visible improvement in facial definition and skin laxity but do not require, or do not wish to undergo, a surgical facelift.

Endolift is a minimally invasive interstitial laser treatment.

Unlike external laser treatments, the laser energy is delivered beneath the skin through a very fine optical fibre.

The controlled energy can stimulate: tissue tightening, collagen remodelling, skin contraction, improvement in skin elasticity, remodelling of the subcutaneous tissues, localised lipolysis in selected areas.

The combination of these effects can create a firmer, smoother and better-defined contour.

Dr. Karatzias explains Endolift®

How does Endolift® work?

The very fine optical fibre is introduced beneath the skin and guided through the treatment area.

Laser energy is delivered in a controlled and individualised manner according to:

The objective is to achieve an appropriate thermal effect while respecting the surrounding tissues.

The result is not based only on the immediate effect of the laser. A process of tissue remodelling and collagen stimulation continues after treatment, which is why improvement develops progressively over time.

Which areas can be treated?

Endolift may be used in a number of facial and body areas following individual assessment.

Face

Body

Selected applications may include:

Not every area is appropriate for every patient. Treatment is always planned according to your anatomy and objectives.

Endolift® for a double chin

Endolift for double chin can be particularly effective in appropriately selected patients who have a combination of:

small localised fat deposits + mild skin laxity + reduced jawline definition.

In these cases, the treatment can address both the localised fat and the surrounding tissue laxity, with the goal of creating a cleaner transition between:

chin – jawline – neck.

Patients with significant fat excess or substantial skin redundancy may benefit more from an alternative treatment such as liposuction or a surgical neck lift.

Endolift® for jawline definition

Loss of a well-defined jawline is one of the common signs of facial ageing.

It can be caused by:

Endolift may improve jawline definition when the degree of laxity is mild to moderate.

My goal is not to create an artificially sharp jawline, but rather a cleaner, more youthful and harmonious contour that respects your natural facial anatomy.

Endolift® for the neck

The neck is often one of the first areas where skin laxity becomes visible.

Endolift may be suitable for patients with:

Patients with significant excess skin or advanced tissue laxity may achieve a more comprehensive correction with a surgical neck lift.

Endolift® for the lower eyelids

The lower eyelid is a particularly delicate anatomical area and requires careful patient selection.

In selected patients, Endolift may be considered for:

However, Endolift is not the ideal treatment for every type of lower-eyelid bag.

For some patients, lower blepharoplasty may provide a more complete and predictable correction.

During your consultation, I will assess your anatomy and explain which option is most appropriate for you.

Endolift® vs facelift

There is no single treatment that is best for every patient.

Endolift

Facelift

The choice should be based on what your face actually needs, rather than simply choosing the most popular treatment.

Endolift® vs liposuction

Endolift can be used for localised lipolysis in selected small areas.

It does not, however, have the same role as traditional liposuction.

If there is a larger amount of fat and a significant change in contour is required, liposuction may be the more appropriate procedure.

When there is a small amount of fat combined with skin laxity and the patient prefers a minimally invasive approach, Endolift may be an excellent option.

Recovery after Endolift®

One of the main advantages of Endolift is its very limited recovery time compared with surgical lifting procedures.

However, some swelling or bruising is normal and varies between patients.

24–48 hours — For most facial treatments, you can usually return to basic daily activities within 1–2 days. You may experience: mild swelling, redness, tenderness, tightness.

2–5 days — Most visible swelling usually decreases significantly during this period. Most patients can return to their normal social activities.

5–7 days — The appearance of the treated area is usually significantly improved and most patients look very natural again. Small areas of bruising may occasionally remain.

1–2 weeks — Some patients may still have mild swelling, small bruises or altered sensation. This is more likely following a more extensive treatment or treatment of sensitive areas.

Following months — Collagen remodelling and tissue maturation continue, so the result continues to evolve.

For a typical facial treatment, I generally recommend allowing approximately 1–3 days for the main downtime and around 5–7 days for the treated area to look largely settled in everyday life.

Who is a good candidate for Endolift®?

A suitable candidate may have:

When would I not recommend Endolift®?

Endolift is not the ideal treatment for every patient.

If you have:

I may recommend another approach.

Depending on your anatomy, we may discuss: facelift, neck lift, blepharoplasty, liposuction, non-surgical treatments, or a combination of procedures.

I do not believe every patient should have Endolift. I believe every patient should have the treatment they genuinely need.

Endolift® combined with other treatments

For some patients, the best result is achieved by combining different treatments.

Depending on your individual needs, Endolift may form part of a personalised treatment plan that includes:

The goal is not to use as many treatments as possible.

The goal is to use the right treatment, for the right patient, at the right time.

My approach to Endolift®

During your consultation, I will personally assess you and evaluate:

I will then explain whether I consider you a good candidate for Endolift.

If I believe another treatment would provide a better result, I will tell you.

My philosophy is that a good aesthetic result should be natural, harmonious and appropriate for each patient’s individual anatomy.

Could Endolift® be right for you?

If you are concerned about:

and you are looking for a minimally invasive treatment with limited recovery time, Endolift may be an option worth considering.

Dr. Angelos Karatzias will personally assess you and determine whether you are a suitable candidate for Endolift, or whether another treatment may provide a better and more natural result.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Endolift® a non-surgical facelift?

Endolift is often described as a non-surgical facelift. More accurately, it is a minimally invasive laser treatment, because a very fine optical fibre is introduced beneath the skin. It does not require the conventional surgical incisions or sutures of a facelift. However, Endolift should not be considered equivalent to facelift surgery. Endolift is primarily suited to mild to moderate skin and tissue laxity, while facelift surgery can address more advanced ageing, deeper tissue descent and significant excess skin.

Does Endolift remove fat?

It can produce localised lipolysis in small areas. It does not replace liposuction when significant fat removal is required.

Can Endolift treat a double chin?

Yes, when your anatomy is appropriate.

Can Endolift treat the neck?

Yes, in appropriately selected patients with mild to moderate laxity.

How long does Endolift® take?

Treatment time depends on: the anatomical area, the size of the treatment zone, the number of areas treated, the degree of laxity, the amount of localised fat, the individualised treatment protocol. In many cases, Endolift is performed as a single treatment session.

Does Endolift® require anaesthesia?

Depending on the treatment area and extent of the procedure, local anaesthesia or an appropriate anaesthetic technique may be used. The exact approach is determined during your medical assessment. The aim is to make the treatment as comfortable and safe as possible.

Is Endolift® painful?

Endolift is generally well tolerated. You may experience: warmth, mild pressure, a brief stinging sensation, temporary sensitivity. The experience varies depending on the treatment area and individual sensitivity.

How many days of recovery do I need?

For most facial treatments, allow approximately 1–3 days of basic downtime. Most visible swelling usually decreases within 2–5 days.

When can I return to work?

If you have an office-based or non-physical job, you can usually return within 1–2 days. If your appearance is particularly important professionally, or you want to minimise the chance that anyone notices you have had treatment, I would recommend allowing approximately 3–5 days.

When can I return to social activities?

Most patients feel comfortable returning to social activities within approximately 3–5 days.

When can I exercise?

Intense exercise is usually avoided for the first 48–72 hours. You can then gradually return to your normal activity. For high-intensity exercise, approximately 5–7 days may be appropriate depending on the treatment area and extent. I will provide you with individualised instructions following your treatment.

When can I wear makeup?

In most cases, makeup can be resumed relatively soon after treatment once the small entry points have closed and the skin is calm. I will give you specific instructions regarding makeup and your usual skincare products.

Can I travel after Endolift®?

Most patients can travel relatively soon after treatment. If you are planning to fly immediately after Endolift, however, I recommend discussing this with me before treatment. If you have an important social or professional event, I recommend allowing several days so that your appearance does not depend on how quickly your individual swelling settles.

What will I feel after Endolift®?

During the first few days you may experience: mild tightness, tenderness, temporary numbness, small areas of firmness, warmth, mild swelling. These sensations usually improve progressively.

If you experience severe or increasing pain, significant redness, fever, discharge, sudden worsening of swelling or any other concerning symptom, you should contact me promptly.

When will I see the results?

Endolift has an important characteristic: the final result does not appear immediately.

Immediately after treatment — An initial improvement in contour and tightness may be visible.

2–6 weeks — Swelling decreases and the appearance becomes more natural.

2–3 months — Improvement in skin quality and tissue tightening becomes more apparent.

3–6 months — Collagen remodelling and tissue maturation continue.

For this reason, the final result should not be judged during the first few days after treatment.

How long do Endolift® results last?

Endolift can provide a long-lasting improvement, but it does not stop the natural ageing process. The longevity of the result is influenced by: age, skin quality, degree of laxity, weight fluctuations, sun exposure, smoking, lifestyle, genetic factors. The improvement can be maintained for a considerable period, but your face will continue to age naturally.

Is Endolift suitable for everyone?

No. A personal medical assessment is essential.
